Kummer Farms is located in DeKalb County just east of Auburn, IN. Receiving the 2017 Hoosier Homestead Award, this 100 year old farm raises corn, soybeans, and wheat.
Larry Kummer is the operating manager of Kummer Farms, LLC. His duties include managing the precision technology and financials, as well as managing the overall farm plan.
Jake Kummer is the son of Larry and is head of daily operations managing the field operations, grain storage system, and general maintenance.
Montana Kummer is the daughter of Larry assisting in livestock and agronomy.
Tim Kummer is Larry’s brother and serves as the mechanical technician supervisor.
Jeff Johnson assists the farm primarily during planting and harvest providing good mechanical skills and overall farm experience.
Richard Kummer is Larry’s father and works as a machinist and mentor.
Jonas Kummer, apprentice is the youngest member of the Kummer family.
Brent Beaty assists with field work during the busy seasons.
